Should we build native (Swift/Kotlin) or cross-platform (React Native/Flutter)?
Native when: you need maximum performance, platform-specific hardware features, or are building a flagship product with a large engineering budget. Cross-platform when: you need iOS and Android simultaneously, have a tighter budget, and your app doesn't require deep platform APIs. React Native is better for JS-heavy teams. Flutter is better for design-intensive apps with complex custom UI. We'll recommend based on your specific requirements.
How long does it take to build a mobile app?
An MVP with core user flows runs 8-12 weeks. A full-featured app is typically 16-24 weeks. Timelines depend on feature complexity, third-party integrations, and backend requirements. We provide a fixed-scope, fixed-timeline quote before any engagement begins.
Do you handle App Store submission?
Yes, fully. We manage App Store Connect and Google Play Console setup, metadata, screenshots, privacy policy requirements, age ratings, and the review process. We handle rejections and resubmissions. Clean submissions are the goal; we've done this hundreds of times.
What happens after launch?
iOS and Android release new OS versions annually, requiring compatibility updates. We offer post-launch retainer plans covering OS compatibility, bug fixes, minor feature additions, performance monitoring, and review management. Apps are never truly "done" - they need ongoing care.
Can you build the backend as well, or just the app?
Both. We can build the entire stack (app + API + database + admin panel) or integrate into your existing backend. For new projects, we typically recommend Firebase for speed, or a custom Node.js/PostgreSQL backend for complex business logic.
How do you handle app security?
Encrypted local storage (Keychain/EncryptedSharedPreferences), HTTPS with certificate pinning, biometric authentication, OAuth2/JWT token management, and GDPR/CCPA compliance by default. We include a security review before every submission.
Do you do React Native or Flutter exclusively, or native too?
All four. We have dedicated iOS (Swift/SwiftUI), Android (Kotlin/Compose), React Native, and Flutter teams. The recommendation always follows requirements - we don't push a single stack because it's convenient for us.
What's the minimum budget for a mobile app?
A well-built MVP (2-3 core flows, one platform) starts around the investment level of a custom website. A full-featured dual-platform app is significantly more.
